I just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten about your email, I've just been really busy this week and have gotten behind in my correspondence.
Just in case you were wondering :) I shall answer it this weekend.
Hullo! :D I was just wondering about you as I haven't seen you around in a while.
I telly you, we don't get any spring here in T.O., it just goes straight from winter into summer. I wore my spring jacket today, and was sweating all the way home!
As for A TTC strike on Monday - meh. I walk anyway so it doesn't really affect me. How about you? Will you be able to get to school?
I walk about 9-10 miles a day. I live near Dufferin Mall & work at Front & Parliament. I love the walk, but all that trekking on cement is playing havoc with my feet. I have the beginnings of a bunion (inflamation & displacement of the big toe joint) on my left foot, probably as a result of walking long distances in improper footwear. I will have to go to Mountain Equipment Coop or somewhere like that for a new pair of shoes.
Other than that, life is good! I'm coming to the end of my current contract with the opera - finally! It's been a long season & I'm ready for a break. I will have a week and a bit off work (I'll be spending 6 days of it at my parents' place in Saskatchewan) at the beginning of May. Then I'll do a three-week contract at a children's theatre. From there, who knows? I'll most likely be back with the opera again, the question is when. Probably July-ish, but I haven't been given any definite days yet.
How goes things with you, Ponyboy?
Also, I've been meaning to ask you if you would ever like to meet up for coffee or something just let me know :) I mean, we live in the same city and all!
Believe it or not, I do enjoy the walk :) I grew up in a valey in BC, and was always up hiking in the mountains, so I'm mused to a lot of walking. As long as it's not windy & pouring down rain at the same time, or the snow's not up to my knees, I walk. I lost 20 lbs last year from my walks.
Yep, Dufferin Mall has been renovated recently, though most of the shops are the same. I think they're trying to up-market their image, as they really are a trashy little mall. I don't go there very often. If I need to go to a mall, I usually go to Eaton Centre (it's not far from where I work, so i pop over to it on the way home some nights). I have been to Yorkdale Mall once, but that was to go to the opening night of the 4th harry Potter movie at the cinema there.
The childrens' theatre puts on shows for children, but the actors are mainly adults, so I'll still be doing adults' costumes. They usually do some fun shows there, like The Wizard of Oz and Seussical The Musical, both of which I worked on.
Yep, both my parents are from Saskatchewan originally, and moved back there when my dad retured 12 years ago. Though they're considering moving back to Vancouver Island once they both become to old to be mobile (they both turn 70 this year).
What courses are you taking that you would need to know what the Romans ate?? If I ever see anyone walking around town with a Team LynZ For Life!!!11 Sharpied t-shirt, I shall know it's you! 0_0
Seriously though, if you ever want to meet for coffee let me know. Meeting up with GS in London was a blast. But it's totally up to you. I won't be offended if you'd rather just keep our communications in the blogs :)
No need to apologize. I can relate to being busy and I fear I have been neglecting my own space lately.
Personally, I think you’re a wonderful writer. Even by just reading your comments I can feel warmth in your words, like talking to an old friend.
Its definitely good to have a space to get things off of your chest and out of your head. It’s funny how much better you can feel just by writing something down and getting it out there. Don’t ever feel like you cant comment, you’re always welcome to say whatever you’re feeling.
Have a great week. I hope you are able to slow down and find some time to do something that you truly enjoy.
I worked some crazy overtime today. I feel like I'm about 80! One of my co-workers has a habit of flaking out whenever we're really bust, and she was true to form today, calling in "sick". We've been short-staffed as it is all season, and this week we really needed all hands on deck to get the final opera costumes done for dress rehearsal, but I don't know if we're going to be able to do that as we were one-person short today.
A word of advice: if it is at all within your power, I recommend against working a full day angry. It totally saps your strength!
Now, I must have shower, but i shall be at Mayo's & the other place in about 15 minbutes or so...
Thank you for the Frankie smile :) Actually, the one thought that made me happy today was when i was zoning out at the ironing board and I remembered seeing Frank walking Mama at PR last summer. She was wearing a little pink knit sweater. So cute!
Heya Bob, how's it going? Haven't seen your bright, shiny face around for a while. And of course, my horrendous correspondence skills don't help any. We miss you, and hope you're getting along alright. Take care of yourself! Please let us know if we can do anything for you.
I got a bit moist on my way to work this morning. My umbrella blew inside out a couple of times. Luckily though, we have a washer & dryer at work, so I was able to dry my wet things (socks).
I didn't hear about the transit strike until after it was over. Happily, I don't rely on transit to get me anywhere. I heard that one person is suing the TTC for the amount of what it cost him to drive his wife to and from work on Friday (she normally takes transit).
Friday ice crean was quite nice, though all that sugar left me feeling a little icky :/
By the way, an anagram for Capture This Void is Caped Hut Visitor. I thought it was cute ;)
Great band, great musicians, great lyrics. None of the Above, Diagnosis, Watermark, Anchorless, Aside, Sun in an Empty Room, Left and Leaving, Night Windows, Bigfoot, and The Reasons are all some of my favorites. And of course I will always wonder about Virtute. I dont think they’ve ever made a bad song. Its always nice to find a fellow fan and its always nice to find that one special song that speaks to you, ya know? Music is a wonderful thing.
I just realized that my comment at FNA looks like I was criticizing your comment of Eliza. I totally did not mean for it to do that. I used your quote at the beginning of my comment as it was succinct & a good jumping off place for my thoughts, and I'm so sorry if it came across as anything else :(
You made some good points. And you're right, I think she likes/needs the attention. Truth be told, I wouldn't be surprised if it were Eliza herself who posted that comment at Mayo,s, and I do believe the anon yesterday who said "You have sunk to a new low in my eyes" was addressing her story.
You should offer a _______ 4 LIFE!!!!11 shirt. That way people could just Sharpie in the paramour of the moment and you won't lose any money on last year's models.
We're in the last week of this season at the opera and it's the week that would not end! Seriously! I can't believe it's not Friday night yet! Tomorrow we just have clean-up to do. They we're going out for drinks & tapas in Kensington Market - huzzah!
I just got back from two days at my uncle's farm - definitely the highlight of my trip! I can't believe how dusty it is out here though, my boots look like I've spent a month walking across a desert!
My mother's driving me a little bit batty (I expected that), but otherwise the trip has gone well.
My luggage showed up a couple of days ago - huzzah! My cousin flew Air Canada to Mexico several years ago. They lost her luggage coming back, and she never got it returned to her. For compensation, they gave her a free flight. But if that happened to me I would not be inclined to fly with them again!

I had a horrendous day at work >_<
Believe it or not I actually just signed in!

See you there?
You'd make a terrible greaser, you know.
'Cause I'm all showery fresh?
Your co-worker sounds like me, BTW :|

Hi, Pony Boy :D
How was your day? Did you get soaked??

Do you still love me, Ponyboy??
ELIZA 4 LYFEZZZZZ. How much do ya think I should sell these for?
I think you should offer them at a reduced rate, as it's the LYNZ 4 LIFEEEEZOMG!!!111 ones that are all the rage at the moment.
Give it time though, and those will also be shifted to the sale rack.
I still luhf mah Sodapop.
*drinks you*

And by "posted that comment at Mayo's" I meant "posted that story at Mayo's"
But you probably already guessed that ^_^
You should offer a _______ 4 LIFE!!!!11 shirt. That way people could just Sharpie in the paramour of the moment and you won't lose any money on last year's models.
Clever, no? ;)
My day was quiet, but loooooong!
We're in the last week of this season at the opera and it's the week that would not end! Seriously! I can't believe it's not Friday night yet! Tomorrow we just have clean-up to do. They we're going out for drinks & tapas in Kensington Market - huzzah!
How was your day?
If you love your job and do it because you love it, not for the money, it makes all the difference, right?
That's so true :)
Unfortunately, the burn-out factor is high in the theatre industry, and I am really really looking forward to a bit of a break!
Congrats on your pictures turning out well :)
Thankees! :D
I'll be happier once my luggage shows up!
Hiya :)
